Spreadsheets and reports prepared for year-end financial audit

Engagement

Year-end statutory audit

An independent examination of your financial statements for a defined year-end — from planning and materiality through fieldwork and the signed opinion letter.

Who this is for

Finance directors and owners who must present audited statements to a bank, investor, or overseas parent. If your close involves inventory counts in New Taipei warehouses or multi-currency trading books, we plan fieldwork around those dates — not around a generic checklist.

What you receive

You receive an independent auditor’s opinion on whether the financial statements present fairly, in all material respects, for the period named in the engagement letter. Alongside the opinion, we deliver a management letter that names specific accounts, cut-off issues, or control gaps we observed.

How the work proceeds

  1. Scoping call — We confirm reporting framework, year-end date, entity structure, and any covenant or group deadlines.
  2. Engagement letter — Scope, fees, client responsibilities, and independence confirmations are written down before fieldwork starts.
  3. Planning — Materiality, significant accounts, and sampling approach are set; we request trial balance, board minutes, and key contracts.
  4. Fieldwork — Tests of details, analytical review, and observations (including inventory when material) happen with your finance team present.
  5. Clearance — Draft opinion and findings are discussed; you resolve open items; we issue the final opinion and management letter.

Preparation we ask of you

Please provide a complete trial balance, bank reconciliations, aged receivables and payables, inventory listings, fixed asset registers, and access to supporting invoices for sampled items. Delays in schedules usually push the opinion date more than any other factor.

Constraints

We cannot audit our own bookkeeping work or continue an engagement where independence is impaired. Material uncertainties or incomplete records may lead to a modified opinion — we will raise that early rather than at the last meeting.
